Pediatric Physical Therapy
Downers Grove, IL
At Milestones, we know just how critical physical therapy is to help children who need assistance mastering skills related to independent mobility and gross motor functioning. It is a core service of our practice.
Through the use of handling techniques, sensory stimulation plus play and parent-child interaction, pediatric physical therapy helps children accomplish goals related to range of motion, muscle strength, posture, joint mobility, gait and higher level gross motor development.
Our Approach
At Milestones, our pediatric physical therapists utilize a multi-faceted approach that focuses on maximizing a child’s ability to move through and interact within their environment.
In our state-of-the-art facility, clients are exposed to a variety of gross motor and sensory experiences that are customized to meet their individual needs. Our physical therapists have undergone specialized training in Neuro-Developmental Treatment, Myofascial Release, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, joint mobilization, Theratogs™ and Kinesio Taping®.
We provide pediatric therapy services within our clinic, in patients’ homes and in community environments.
