Sound-Based Intervention/Therapeutic Listening Intervention
 Milestones-For Kids’ Success is pleased to have a team of therapists who have been trained in a variety of sound-based interventions, which use sophisticated sound-based technologies in combination with the therapeutic benefits of music. When supervised by a skilled clinician, therapeutic listening intervention can be a powerful tool to assist a child in meeting his or her therapy goals.
At Milestones we have several highly trained therapists that are qualified to establish and monitor therapeutic-listening programs. We have found auditory intervention strategies to be a valuable adjunct to therapy, particularly for children who have difficulties with sensory processing and sensory modulation. Staff members here at Milestones have completed formal training in Therapeutic Listening ®, SAMONAS Sound Therapy ® and The Listening Program ®. Therapists use these programs during therapy sessions and also work closely with families to establish a therapeutic-listening program for daily use at home.
 The Therapeutic Listening ® programs include modulated CDs, fine tuning CDs and gear shifter CDs. Therapists use these various programming options as well as SAMONAS Sound Therapy ® to design a listening therapy program catered to the needs of the child and family and designed specifically to address the established goals. Milestones’ also offers a CD Lending Library which is available to families who receive therapy services at Milestones and who elect to participate in the program.
