Free Screening Under Age 5

Downers Grove, IL

Preschool-Initiated Free Screening

Area preschools are encouraged to contact Milestones for free screenings at their school or facility when there is a question about the development of one of your students. An experienced therapist from Milestones will screen children up to 5 years of age, at your site, free of charge. A signed parent consent form is required.

  • The brief screening (30 minutes or less) includes observing the child in your preschool setting and talking with the teacher.
  • The screening is a consultation on the child relative to developmental milestones and can assist in determining if further evaluations at our therapy center are needed in one or more areas. Full evaluations are billable to insurance.
  • Screenings are performed by one of our experienced therapists, so teachers have an opportunity to ask questions, and parents receive a recommendation document.

Teacher In-Service
Milestones’ expert therapists are available to give presentations to your teachers or parent groups to share knowledge on developmental milestones and address questions. To learn more about the pediatric therapy services Milestones can provide to your organization, contact us today.

Parent-Initiated Free Screening

Parents with concerns about progress in their child’s developmental milestones are encouraged to call our Milestones office. The answers to a few questions can help determine whether a child (up to age 5) is a candidate for a 30-minute free screening at our therapy center in Downers Grove, Illinois.
